Congrats….we’re also about ready to enter the dark side…ha ha. I’ve been on the USA real estate sidelines for the past 6 years waiting for it to fall. We will be buying this year so know what you are going through.
I think if you’re buying for the long term and buying a home to live in vs. an investment for the long term..now is an ok time to buy.
Yes I agree … for long term living, this appears to be ok time. For us it simply came down to the difficult question .. Should we buy the one which meets most of our requirements and buy at today’s price-point or should we pass on this one and try to get additional 5-10% discount on something (unknown) in future. This house is somewhat unique for the neighbourhood with larger lot and ocean views etc … other properties in the area are also nice but dont have a larger lot and privacy etc.
