Allan:
Haha !
Yes, we had a beautiful Edsel when I was a kid. So did my cousin. My uncle bought one late in life and restored it.
They were beautiful. And yes, the Edsel was a dud.
Edsel was Henry Ford’s son’s name if I recall and it was his idea. Way ahead of it’s time. Push button auto in the center of the steering wheel.
They only lasted a few years but are worth an absolute fortune today.
The automobile is part of America’s tradition and we were the envy of the world in that department for many years until we allowed the imports to dump their cars here for less than cost (subsidized by their Govs).
And of course we all know how America couldn’t compete with the 3rd world wages, tariffs, etc, etc.
Boy did we get screwed !
Please take the time to ask Jeff Bridges to drop the Hyundai ads and come back to his home team.
America cannot afford to subsidize another foreign auto manufacturer to destroy what is left of our own.

That’s a doozy. Are you sure you don’t work for Honda or Toyota?[/quote]That’s what I was about to say. Why this focus on Hyundai when it’s Toyota/Honda that was the big threat to the Big 3 for decades. Saying Toyota/Honda is too ingrained in the American psyche so I won’t ‘attack’ but instead focus on Hyundai doesn’t sound like the idea of a normal guy. Only someone really really obsessed on an actor would do something like this…
pad, admit it, your paychecks are coming from offices in Torrance, CA right?
That’s a joke pad, before you try to come back with some half-baked statements.

I focus on Hyundai so maybe I can actually get something positive done rather than just sit and complain about everyone, everything and who is to blame.
You should try it. π
It doesn’t matter any longer who / what is to blame for the crisis we are in. It’s time to actually do something about it.
I refuse to sit back this time around and see the Koreans take advantage of our stupidity like the Japanese were able to do in the 70’s.
I totally and absolutely believe in what I am trying to do and will not be swayed because a handful of complainers enjoy wasting their time throwing rocks at me.
Focused like a laser beam and steady as she goes.
Please take a few moments to join me in respectfully asking Jeff Bridges to deep six the undermining Hyundai ads and support the team that has supported him.
Go here and make yourself heard.

You might just make a positive difference. What do you have to lose but a few moments of your time ?
