i wouldnt be so sure she’ll get a misdemeanor dv. try felony assault witha deadly weapon, possible prison time, maybe even an attempt murder charge from a headline seeking prosecutor, plead it down to a couple years in the pen. didn’t he have facial injuries? he could describe the incident in such a way that it could be an attempt murder “ILL KILL YOU, YOU PHILANDERING SEED-SPREADING CAEVMAN!” she screamed, whilst swinging a big bertha at my cranium. she backed me into a corner, smashing drywall (look, I’ve go the reapir bills to prove it!); plus, even the dv charge as a misd could swing the child custody negotiations his way, then she loses big time! no whopping child support payments. i think the dv is good leverage…
LOL Scaredy! Here is how I think it broke down:
They have been having marital difficulties for months, perhaps years. His phone has literally become an additional body part from which he cannot be separated.
On the rare occasion that he carelessly leaves it unlocked and unsupervised, perhaps while in shower or sleeping, wife finds phone and text messages, and figures out the passwords. Tiger keeps changing passwords which escalates her frustration.
She has been confronting him on it for quite some time, but he makes claims that they are business partners, industry professionals, it’s work related of course.
Finally, on the night of the incident, the phone goes off and he responds with a text message. She demands to know who he is talking to and demands he relinquish the phone RIGHT NOW. He refuses. She attempts to grab the phone from him…he holds on. He says “f**k you! I am leaving!” and begins to grab a couple of things and head to his car.
She screams “like hell you are you cheating mo*****f***a!” She threatens to rat him out to the media and demands money if he does not comply. She blocks his exit, he throws her aside and races out the door with her in quick pursuit. She has a golf club now and is banging up the house in a fit of rage. As he starts the Escalade, down goes the golf club. CRACK.
NOW, they have a problem regular folks don’t have. They are celebrities and live in a big house where there are no neighbors to witness or hear the incident, and Tiger sure isn’t calling the police.
So, he drives off, but he is in a rage and crashes into a tree. OH, and he still has his phone.

Complete Bullshit. Tiger woods is a complete athlete unlike most golfers. Add in the fact that Tiger woods is a Stanford Grad and I would say that makes him a pretty good catch. His wife is definitely a complete fox and would have made a lot of money modeling. Simple trade off here . no winner no loser. Don’t think she ever had to think about the money. There was plenty there should she elected to make it. Tiger knew that too.
Money, jock, degree from good school equals good catch? Where does the part about going to prostitutes on the side fit in there with the good catch part? I think some want to revel in tigers “conquests” on some sort of macho ego trip, but face it, “Tiger the plumber” could also get female like these as often as he could afford, if he was prone to going to hookers.
Actually, I’m betting that Tiger the Plumber could find just as hot a wife as he has now (although I only consider her to be modestly hot, as I’m not into the Nordic look – but I digress). I’ve seen plenty of very normal guys – even guys who don’t make a ton of dough – with very hot partners. It’s not that unusual. However, clearly being Tiger the Golfer made things easier in that respect.
Now, I’m going to editorialize on what I think these two SHOULD be doing in order to maximize their contentment based on their actions thus far.
Tiger should divorce Elin and pay her a huge amount of money. Now. Why? It’s an important part of his life. He’s only going to give it up under duress, which he’s facing currently. So, now he’s going to pay his wife a shitpile of money to “stay” with him while he denies himself the things he wants, just so that he can make a few million more dollars from his sponsors? Given his level of wealth, that’s completely idiotic. He should pay her off, become a swinging bachelor (which is what he truly wants), and just accept losing some sponsors. He’s still going to have shitpile of money and be able to do whatever the hell he wants. His wife will be happier and he can share custody of the kids and everybody lives happily ever after.
Elin should take the money and run. She’s still young and attractive and will have no problem finding another dude, if that’s what she wants. Clearly, she wants no part of the newly-revealed Tiger Woods, or else she wouldn’t be demanding all this up-front money along with a new pre-nup. There’s a word for women who stay with men in exchange for money – and I have no problem with prostitution, per se. It’s a perfectly respectable profession. But does this woman really want to go down that road? Because that’s exactly what she’s doing. By choice. She could get a huge settlement and be done with it all and move on, but she’s choosing to remain for a few dollars more. In my view, that’s a bad decision. But, hey, to each his/her own.
Basically, I think they’re both lying to themselves regarding what’s going to make them content. And that rarely ends well.
Dave said “Clearly, based on what we know now he’s been screwing around with LOTS of woman for many years. Clearly, he loves being the swinging bachelor.”
Tiger said quite the opposite. Something about having deep regrets. You can question the sincerity of what he is saying of course.I don’t think you have done many unbiased, Amateur Anthropologist case studies of people who face the types of crisis the Wood’s family is in… Possible “bimbo fetish” vs. family life dilemma. If you did, you might not have said what you did about Tiger in such an obvious knee jerk fashion. These situations and men take all sort of paths regardless of the level of premarital and extracurricular activities. I think in this case divorce seems correct. In Tigers future it is as likely that he will take,or eventually take, some kind of position on trying to do better with Elin or the next time he gets in a “permanent relationship”.Maybe he will be a sad and remorseful alcoholic with a bimbo fetish. Maybe the swinging life suits him to a tee and he will maike an business empire out of his fetish, like Heffner. Only Tiger knows, if anyone does. I don’t think he has ever been sure like you are about swinging or himself. I mean, you don’t seem susceptible to getting married and sprouting a few rug rats while in the midst of the bliss of the same life you claim that Tiger loves.

Apparently what Tiger’s been SAYING has, for quite some time, been the opposite of the truth (that is, not sincere). I believe the extracurricular count (alleged, of course) is approaching a dozen, and we have no idea how many are choosing not to come forward. So, you’ll have to pardon me if what Tiger SAYS doesn’t hold much sway with me.

I would say that wanting to have sex with various attractive women (which you are referring to as bimbos, not me) is not a fetish, but rather a very typical desire of heterosexual males. You’re trying to make it seem as though Tiger’s desires are somehow out of the realm of normalcy – hence use of the term “fetish” – and I can assure you they are not. The only difference between Tiger and most men is that he has the opportunity to indulge himself, whereas most men do not. His mistake was assuming that he wouldn’t get caught in such indulgences while pretending to be in a “committed relationship.”

He wanted to have his cake (stable home life) and eat it too (extracurricular activities). I’m not interested in the cake. Different strokes for different folks.
