I think if you have a job – you see positive aspects of growth in the economy. If you or someone in your family is having trouble finding a job – or if you fear losing your job, you’re not as rosy.
CR has a good chart this morning showing the depth of the unemployment compared to other recessions.

sdr talks about all the building he sees. My husband is an architect and with the exception of the hospital in Escondido (which he worked on) there is little construction in the hospital field and medical office building field. CRE is still tanking with Grub & Ellis signs a familiar/common site.
I guess it depends which direction you look whether you see distress or froth in the economy.

Isn’t UCSD building a new hospital too? Last I heard, Scripps Memorial is planning to rebuild in the near future too, to compete w/ UCSD.November 5, 2010 at 9:10 AM #627149anParticipant[quote=UCGal]I think if you have a job – you see positive aspects of growth in the economy. The Fed is not here to help the economy, the fed just needs to make sure that we do not default to creditors…Because we are not going to pay the chinese back with real money…
The whole speech is amazing.
“You guys are predators, predatory lenders…we need a modification program. We need a cram down on this, you never should have lent us all this money! You knew we couldn’t pay it back!”
