I’m just messing with you Harry. I just thought it was funny how you implied (or at least seemed to imply) that your neighbor would be more likely to engage in criminal activity because he was gay. I would think the opposite would be true.
I have to disagree with TG, though. I used to listen to LoveLine quite a bit and both Adam Corrolla and Dr. Drew agreed that some homos are born that way and some are created “in the lab” (i.e., molested as a child). So the environment in which a child grows up can affect sexual orientation. However, I’m not sure that a parent’s divorce would be enough to switch sexual orientation.

June 19, 2008 at 9:09 PM #225648temeculaguyParticipantralph, Murrieta and Temecula are about a tie, it’s preference and proximity, we are splitting hairs when we compare them. Murrieta is well run, it has less revenue sources than Temecula (car dealers, mall, etc.) but it is fine. As far as safety, it is the safest in the county and in 2007 it was the 44th safest city in the United States, you can leave the body armor at home, despite the anectdotal stories, the stats tell another tale.
Purely from memory, the overall stats are about 19 crimes per thousand per year, in S.D. county, only Ramona and Poway are in that range, with Ramona being slightly better but both are smaller, but for a city of 100k, I know of none locally that compare.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murrieta
It did grow more during the bubble and has more repos, if I wasn’t already established in my hood, I’d look seriously at it. If you commute to the south, the 215 can be frustrating, but it appears to be under construction, however freeway projects seem to take forever no matter where you are. Bear Creek is one of the nicest places anywhere, but expect to pay a hefty premium, it’s the I.E. version of Rancho Santa Fe.

June 19, 2008 at 9:42 PM #225658jmrrobbie1ParticipantThought I would copy a thread from the Morgan Hill forum as most here have good knowledge of this area. The Frog Leap listing… appears to be four others on this street listed via Redfin. Two noted below listed $950K-1.1M:
http://www.redfin.com/CA/Temecula/44840-…
http://www.redfin.com/CA/Temecula/44752-…
What is the view on this part of Temecula, the community, neighborhood, street & builder of these homes – part of Morgan Hill but a newer phase of the development… built 2005 at the end of the boom? They are only 5.5 miles to the I-15 interchange and 1-2 blocks from Toby Tobin Elementary school – anyone with children in attendance here? They should have access to the community/family fitness center? They back to Santa Rita & Anza Road – Google Earth shows this area South as opening space and groves – any future zoning plans for the back/south side? Does not appear the price has moved much in comparison to the rest of the community… any thoughts on this …. Four homes on the same street but still seeking last year’s price range?
In comparison – maybe apples & oranges as this is totally different section of the town – actually out of town and on 5 acres & West of I-15 up on the plateau … but the views are excellent and the price has moved considerable compared to Frogs Leap listing at $1,339,000 in Jan 08 and now asking $975,000 (still has some drop to go). Any insight on this area as compared to Frogs Leap/Morgan Hill? Understandable that this is not a community/neighborhood, more rural & surrounded by avocado groves (5 acre lots vs 0.5), but still only 3.8 miles from the I-15? Can someone compare & contrast these two areas, homes, build quality, fees/taxes – Temecula Hills to Morgan Hill – maybe these compared to Bear Creek?
