From what we found out, they allegedly planted an insider to approve all these fraudulent loans. She now owns a very expensive piece of property in Rancho Santa fe (Million dollar prop).

remember the last time you took the wife and kids on a family vacation? you don’t? well, kneuter valves can make those memories for you!
act now, space is limited. for a guaranteed 300% return on investments, email your social security number, drivers license info, bank account numbers, your mother’s maiden name and your most frequently used passwords to: [email protected].
remember, you control your destiny! act now before it’s too late!

June 18, 2007 at 4:45 PM #60212AnonymousGuestThe term you are looking for is ‘Affinity Fraud.’
I am one of the 800+ victims, I have a 4yr degree in a science field. Granted, maybe I should have stuck with what I knew, but a kindly woman named Connie Duron, mother of my best friend, had me speak to her BIL who was in the air force. I thought, ‘How could someone in the AF be connected to a fraud, and he was religious to boot.’ Even the FBI has told us that they think these guys are some of the ‘best’ they have come across. We weren’t solely investing in RE, but mutual funds, annuities, precious metals, and foreign currency. I have documents in my hand that state I have my own brokerage account in a bank in Palm Desert. I have VOD’s in hand that the scammers falsely submitted (without my knowledge) to the banks. I have a copy of a Grant Deed that the FORGED my husband’s signature on. I have had so many lies fed to me it would choke an elephant.
Am I ashamed…why yes I am. I am ashamed that I trusted dear dear friends. I am ashamed that I looked up the company I was doing business with (Pacific Wealth Management) and saw a ‘LEGITIMATE” company website (see…that’s how these crooks work…they STEAL a legitimate co’s name and do business under it until they get caught. So…silly me…there was no negative BBB reports either. How COULD I have known??
So…let’s FLOG the poor victims….and applaud the efforts of the crooks…because that is in essence What you are doing.
I just spent my morning in front of Riverside Superior Court demonstrating and pleading for the DA to move a little faster in their efforts to put these men in jail.
See, if the DA and the DRE had done their JOB 2 years ago, I never would have become a victim, and neither would a lot of people. The truly sad part is other people are becoming victims DAILY and more lives are ruined.
We can’t ALL be EXPERTS in this field, after all, we supposedly TRUSTED ‘Experts’ in this field. Most of us will NEVER trust again.
Just hope that these crooks FINALLY go to jail.
Did you know they actually were connected to the MX Factor case in Riverside a few years ago? Neither did we…they should have been jailed then, but Chris Oetting of Sunburst Financial took the fall for James Duncan. Even Barry Minkow recognized these names when he was called last summer.
Hope some of you will show a little compassion. Too many have already solidified my opinion of RE ‘professionals.’

I have been a victim of my own greed many times in my life. It would be ashamed to sit and total all the dollars. In fact there was a can’t lose investment that I made in 2004 that is now in receivership. Yes this case was a case of fraud. It doesn’t matter though. In ALL of those cases I was simply being greedy. That is the bottom line. I took a risk because I thought the return was worth it… In the end I lost. It took me many years and many dollars to learn this, if you think it is to good to be true, it usually is. Every now and then, for a small window of time, you may actually get the anticipated return. However… more often then not you will get burned.
I know there was fraud perpetrated here. Yet it still doesn’t absolve the fact that the (victims, investors, or whatever you want to call them) were all serving their own greed.

That indicates you have learned from this event. Let me ask you this. What drove you to make the investment in the first place?

June 18, 2007 at 5:27 PM #60230AnonymousGuestLet us confess that we are all a little greedy sometimes, that is what drives many of us to succeed and become wealthy. Without some degree of greed we would not be Capitalist. Isn’t that what our economy is built on. People willing to take a chance and be a little greedy. I admit I did it all wrong, I wasn’t willing to do the hard work myself. I trusted someone else to do the investing for me. Boy, was I wrong.
