Live below your means, but within your needs. Bling is no longer in thing, so it much easier to live in apt or smaller home.
Pay allowance to kids only if they work. This teaches them responsibility, good work habits.
Learn to say no to kids for all their wants. Kids will learn from your habits, not your words. If you spend like its 2005, so will your kids.
Pay student loans before credit cards.
The dream is to own home, car outright with no debt.
New workers – show up early, stay late, be the dependent worker.
Need to have more pleasure in saving money than spending money if you don’t have trust fund.
New American dream is loving who you are.
Yes, she is a slick sales lady, not an expert. I suspect most here are far more knowledgeable than her, but Orman knows how to relate to average person who can’t spell 1040EZ.

Any time or money that you spend that doesn’t make you as funny as TG, or as literate as Allan, or as tech savvy as Flu & sduude, or as financially savvy as Rich & davelj, or as debonair as sdr, or as kind as the rest here is a complete waste of your time or money.
