Participantbut see, zombies are slow moving. slow and relentless. it’s not like you need to swing that long unless you’re cornered. and that’s why im saying, the time to start working out with the crowbar is NOW.

Participant
Airborne zombies are not such an unrealistic concept. Static line jumps don’t really require much thinking. If you are jumping from something big, like a C141, you don’t even need to jump, just walk out the door. They might break a leg when they land, but zombies don’t care.
Of course someone would need to fly the plane, so I suppose the airborne zombies would need some help.
Are zombies susceptible to fire? Perhaps some fu gas would be useful in the arsenal.
Pri: You’re onto something there. I was thinking of a moat-type system, filled with JP-4 or JP-5 (lifted from the Marine helo wing at CampPen). I was also thinking of the other toys I could lift there, once 8bit got me thinking about armor. Why would I settle for some old beat-to-shit Nasty Guard armor, when I could get the good stuff, like an M-1 Abrams, from the Marines. Or, an LAV, at a minimum. Plus, they gotta have .223, .308, and .50cal out the wazoo over there. Not to mention anti-personnel devices, med supplies, food, fuel, etc. A veritable Toys R Us for the anti-zombie crowd.

No disagreement from me, as you’re sorta making my point for me here. Having a good battle plan is key and avoiding getting cornered is paramount. I don’t disagree with the working out strategy (but I think a crowbar is a little on the light side), but it has to be part of a well thought out larger strategy.
I still think a pump shotgun is a far superior close in weapon, especially in terms of how much damage it does. Put a 3″ magnum buck load into one of their grapes and its Jackson Pollock time.
