November 14, 2007 at 7:53 PM #99549AnonymousGuestI live in San Marcos in Belleza and have seen the train and driven right next to it while it was moving, and you cannot hear it at all. It is about as noisy as a car or truck at most. I still would not want it running in my backyard, but if the house is far enough away in that neighborhood you should be ok. As for the train blowing a horn, I dont believe that there will be a horn blowing at the Cal State station as it is elevated so they do not need to warn cars(not 100% sure on that but that was what I read in the paper). The sprinter has become less of a concern now that I have seen it and heard it, should be a non event, at least for my neighborhood.

November 14, 2007 at 10:34 PM #99605SD RealtorParticipantSorry to be skeptical whatodo but I believe areas such as San Marcos are going to get hit pretty hard in the next 2 years. I would really urge you to hold off if you can. If not then I understand, just try to drive the best bargain that you can and if your realtor is so gung ho on you making an offer ask her/him for a rebate of the referral fee they are going to get.
