I do think the level of real estate discourse throttling down a notch on Piggington is due to the mainstream media being all over real estate stories. What’s there left to talk about when all the papers are writing about real estate?
I remember about 1 1/2 years ago mentioning on Piggington that buyers were lying on their loan applications. I was accused of being a low-life and suggesting illegal things. Well, it turns out most of the recent sales were done with liar loans.
Everyday, I know check patrick.net for the latest news. and I do and RSS of Roubini’s daily digest, Calculated Risk and the Big Picture. That gives me all the real estate news that I need.
For entertainment purposes, I also do an RSS of OCrenter’s excellent blog and some other blogs.
Piggington is useful for San Diego specific information. And unlike Ben’s blog, Piggington has a give-and-take and feedback among posters.
To me the politics is fun and entertainment. I’m sitting-back, relaxing and enjoying the show — the implosion of real estate and the Bush Administration.
