Whatever you do scaredy, don’t wish in one hand and shit in the other.
Also, if you have any notion that you are automatically free because you are a rural property owner in California, get that insanity out of your mind.
Introduce the situation to the “bureaucrats” at your own speed. I would speak about the situation with them as hypothetical until I got all the information and was ready to proceed. Get the records though. You don’t have to be a bigshot to do preemptive damage control with these people,or to beat them if they go overboard…as long as you are well informed. I proudly admit I have taken a can of whoopass out on them more than once. You can also use them against the bank when the time is right.
What would really be best is to have several alternative sites on your property. In any case, a permit is supposed to be issued only with a reserve area for leach lines.
