*You can Google this all and do your own research. In all seriousness, the evidence for all three seems scanty at best. On the other hand, having watched my mom die from this horrible disease, I’d swallow bleach if I thought there was a reasonable chance it would prevent it.
Sorry to hear about your mother.
Because of that, we have a similar reaction to women and breast cancer. Most of the women in my life have had it and some have died from it. Broccoli is supposed to ward it off somewhat.
We eat a LOT of broccoli in our house and I’ve grown to love it. I never hated it, but now I love it.

I do however take 2 caps of turmeric every day. I believe in turmeric!!! Under control, no urge to take more turmeric. Weed, no, I fall right to sleep. Not fun. Didn’t have this effect when I was 20.
Aha! So you’re the one causing the Great Turmeric Shortage of 2022!
Scroll halfway down, to just above the photo of the red McCormick’s caps.

(the whole article is pretty interesting, actually)
“Lotsa cream, lotsa sugar.”
One of my favorite lines from Pulp Fiction.
I went cold turkey on coffee back in December, from 3 cups a day to zero. Noticeable head-aches but tolerable. The worst thing was a couple nights where I experienced pain throughout my body when trying to sleep at night. No matter what position I tried, my body felt like it was burning. Eventually the night pains went away but man was it uncomfortable. I didn’t notice any improvement in sleep after the withdrawal symptoms wore off. Eventually I started drinking coffee again, but limited it to a single cup a day. I noticed my tolerance went way down and so drinking just a small cup made me feel like I had drank 3.
I once had a long term girl friend that was allergic to chocolate cheese and wine. Other than sex with me, she had no joy in life.

Hot coffee gives me jitters, but i can and often do drink 4 cups of black cold coffee a day.
Yerba mate sparkling water is a nice change too, especially on a hot day. Better taste than black or green tea.
