Sometimes, having a nice, cozy, affordable rental is the biggest hurdle to buying a house.
It’s very difficult to go from living in a “good enough” rental with affordable payments and lots of cash in the bank…to a “purchased” home where you are responsible for all the maintenance costs and have the same monthly payments (or higher) than your rental, and much less cash in the bank. Not easy to do at all.
…not to mention the freedom to move if things get bad.
Enjoy your rental in the meantime, scaredy. You’ll know when it’s the right house, at the right price, and at the right time. Until then, sleep well. 🙂
