it depends. 120 isnt unreasonable, it is just whether an employer will pay it.
it also depends on domain knowledge and how well they know java and things like spring/hibernate. java is ~12yrs old and things like spring/hibernate havent been in big use for that long. 120 might be out of the question for some isnt hitting the ground running when the get the job.
edit: 2 yrs ago i had a employee w/ less than 10 yrs, new hibernate/spring, etc at 120.
as for other parts of the industry 120 isnt out of line for 20yrs of experience either (c/c++ unix/embedded work). i’ve also seen mgrs at 120k.
it will all depend on the company.
unfortunately most prospective employers want to know you previous salary(sometimes you’ll need verification) and they will not give you much of a bump unless you’re *special*. also remember that it is still an employer market so expect low offers.
