Meanwhile. 1:3 missed their April rent payments.
Not surprised, but ouch.
Did they give you a courtesy notice?

Nope. Maybe in my spam box.

I hope they did. Otherwise, that says something about these renters (it’s not like they have to pen a letter and snail mail it).

not following… I thought you meant if the assessor’s office sent out a courtesy notice reminding folks about property taxes… They probably did a few months ago.
If you were referring to my tenants, none of them have sent me any notice because all of my tenants so far have paid in full on time (knock on wood). All except one is not in the service industry. And the one that is sold her SFH in the other state, so she should have sufficient equity. Fingers crossed in May. I think 770 is the lowest credit score of all my tenants. I forget.
Got it. I thought you said one of your tenants didn’t pay rent.

My relative has a non-ontime payment in LA. I guess the guy runs a business and his customer in China hasn’t paid him yet in over 2 months.
We worked out a payment plan for him. He’s sending $1300 biweekly. My relative isn’t too worried. No mortgage , property tax rate from the 1980ies lol.
HOA fees more than property tax. lol.
LA is getting hit hard because the most of the entertainment sector which employs a lot of people are shutdown.
Bump – this is tomorrow.
if you were unable to pay your property tax, you can apply to get penalties cancelled.
