Dharma, don’t worry about my hood, it’s a big region and if you took a poll, Temecula is where most would want to live if they could, Hemet, Elsinore, Wildomar, French valley will all fall first, there wont be any section 8 people left, we’re on the high ground. You saw the foreclosure numbers, they increase in percentage by population ans you move north. The city has been in trouble so many times for not having the minumum required section 8 housing that they have bought apartments and converted them to senior citizen housing to save their road tax money. South Temecula has over 40k people and one apartment building, so let’s not get all fearfull and dont be a small lot hater, there are plenty of us that want the smallest lot possible. If I could build the perfect house, 6 car garage, ten foot perimeter spacing surrounded by brick or vinyl fencing (no wood ever) not a blade a grass to be seen, jacuzzi, rocks and palm trees, three bedrooms, small kitchen, giant televisions mounted on walls, not a speck of carpet and as little grout as possible, now that a man cave. No mowing, no gardening, giant garages, everything can be cleaned with windex, no flat paint, and if possible, epoxy coat the entire house floor, put drains in each room and never own a mop or vaccuum, just hose everything down, hosing things down is therapy for men, gardening and painting is kryptonite. All a backyard needs is a jacuzzi, a table and chairs for cigar smoking, a bbq and a view. Anything more is just using up your valuable money and time on the planet to maintain. Small lots do not attract dirtbags, in fact dirtbags like big lots so they can keep their big dogs, every car they haved ever owned in various states of decay and spare appliances for parts in the backyard. Dirtbags love land and hate HOA’s.

HILARIOUS (as always)…hosing everything down is such a man thing…my husband included (of course I didn’t see that as therapy but always joked that it’s an extension of something!) So funny!May 1, 2008 at 9:57 PM #197617cashflowParticipant=-)

I think you should find a nice girl to help you paint, garden and decorate your future digs. You could always use a hose to spray your 4000 sf lot with green-colored paint. The ultimate xeriscaping….
A stable, feminine presence will also minimize your chances of becoming ‘Weird Single Guy’ – and save you from excessive cigar smoking and too much time spent with your hose.
