As far as huge SUV’s go, I have a Ford Excursion and I love it – even with $3.50 gas.
Reasons: I have a PUP camper and the Excursion is perfect for towing and bringing all of our stuff along without breaking a sweat.
Also, if you drive a small car in So. Cal. basically you get no respect – not the case in the Excursion. Very low stress driving.
Safety: I will always drive the safest vehicle I can afford to drive (or what I think is the safest vehicle), I don’t care what gas costs. I do care about other peoples safety very much, but at the end of the day my primary job is to protect my family – and that’s what I’ll do. Of course I don’t drive it all of the time, but it is our main family vehicle.
Global warming: I am all for reducing pollution and I do carpool to work (with 3 other riders, 4 in total) nearly everyday. But it’s all irrelevant to you if your dead, after getting in an accident in your eco car.
In general, the heavier the vehicle the safer it is.

P.S. The lady in the Yukon is probably my wife, can you tell her to get her fat behind home? I’m still waiting for my food

His mother is white, so, why can’t he be white? Or half-white? I find it disturbing that even today, people still subscribe to the “one drop of blood” theory. (That is, having one drop of black blood makes you “black” but not the other way around.)
