Participantjimmyle- you say you live in Carmel Valley – you are not going to get much closer parking wise. Take a cab or if you want to go for a scenic walk, go up the coast along Torrey Pines state beach.
Everyone else and their mother will want to park at Torrey Pines State beach, I don’t think that’s the answer unless you get their at 5am

ParticipantHave someone drop you off and cab it home. That’s what my kids and I are doing from RSF.
Parking at TP Beach is now $8–tickets are $64–if you don’t get a day pass. We go there all the time, and park elsewhere, but noticed the Park Rangers were writing away even during the week!!
