I’m sorry, but those Bridle Ridge houses are just plain butt ugly. Note to Parde: When you are asking 900k for a house it should be a NICE house.

April 15, 2008 at 4:43 PM #187788AnonymousGuestWhat’s the deal with CV? Let me explain it to you – I5N and I15N at 5:30 pm on any given day, nuf said.
I live in a Belmont plan 3 off of Carmel Country. It take me 25 min to get to and from downtown, where my office is located. Sure you can get a house cheaper North of the 56 or even West or Carmel Country road, but you will have to sit in your car for an extra 30 min to 1 hr each day. CV South, the part south of the 56 is far better for traffic, because you have access to the 5 and/or 56 through Carmel Valley rd., or Carmel Mountain road.
CV South is also becoming a more prestigious area. All the largest and most expensive homes south of Rancho Santa Fe are being built on Del Mar Mesa. There are horse trails, biking, and hiking rails all over the Mesa, and in Penasquitos Canyon. Manchester just spent $330 million to build the Grand Del Mar (well worth a visit) which has the critically acclaimed Addison restaurant.
It’s minutes from the best beach in SD- Torrey Pines – no riff raff and endless interrupted beach all the way to La Jolla shores, walkable all the way, 2hrs, each way. UCSD is just down the 5.
As for the Asian influence, ya they are here, so what? They make great neighbors. Never noisy, keep their yard tidy, etc. They value a clean environment and a good education, don’t we all? Hopefully some of their children;s work ethic will rub off on mine at school (all 117 Asian kids scored perfect of the last government exam at sage Canyon). I’m glad that the engineers from India, Taiwan, and China choose to live here. It makes it culturally diverse, and gives your kid an idea of global possibilities, and what it takes to succeed in a global economy.
The only bad thing about the area are the annoying jets and helicopters that fly over the area. I guess they are looking for Bin Laden in rubber dingy in the pacific. International aggression spending needs to be cut, and Miramar decommissioned, it’s in the wrong place.
Sure you can buy cheaper, but you have to really love your car, and white trash for neighbors.

April 15, 2008 at 5:26 PM #187821CVFanGirlParticipant“They” are at least 50 percent of the neighborhood. That makes “You” a minority here. I wonder if your “whiteness” will rub off on my children? I hear white folk really like mcdonalds take out and cheap, watered down beer. On second thought, maybe I should be moving to a better area with more Asians.
But seriously, race isn’t a factor when you hit this stage of the game. If you think it is, maybe you won’t be here for long.
Be thankful for the intelligence and excellent work ethic of these neighbors that surround you. It certainly helps draw attention away from people who sadly think it’s still the 1970’s and it’s ok to claim arrogance is justified by a caucasian background.
