Actually we run centos at work and my company laptop is mac but if I was installing at home I’d do Ubuntu.

Weird, I installed Ubuntu 12.04 recently and it runs slower than my Windows 7 partition (at least for boot up). I also gave up trying to install my network printer after messing around with it for at least 1/2 a day. Linux have came a long way, but it still have a long way to go still.

If you don’t hear from me today, you’ll know I’m still down… 🙂
On second thought. never mind… I forget that every time i reinstall ubuntu on my mac, I got to go dick around with the eft partitioning scheme… never mind. Ubuntu 11.10 is fine for me for now..
Looks like you don’t need to wait for Windows 8 if you need a computer now. If you buy a new computer now, you can get Windows 8 upgrade for $15.
