Finally a profession more hated than Realtors around here.
Partypup,
It’s nice to here that Pigg’s will always be welcome on your ranch. That is not our concern. Our concern is that we Pigg’s would get slaughtered, sliced, fried and served with scrambled eggs and sourdough toast on your ranch.
;)
Do you say that because partypup is a lawyer. or becasue you have food on your mind?
Just kidding guys. I like the Lawyers I have had the pleasure of paying $250-$300 hour. Use them wisely and it is a good return, compared to having to go to the bother of learning what they know.

March 1, 2009 at 8:49 AM #357610svelteParticipantI must say that I don’t spend a helluva lotta time thinking about lawyers, but the ones I have met are really decent smart people.
I’m sure there are the sleazeballs out there, but I’ve run into a higher percentage of sleazeball realtors, cops, and salesmen than lawyers.
Of course, my sample size on all those professions isn’t huge.

Agreed. Everyone bags on lawyers till you need one. I’ve needed them in the past and will likely be using one going forward if we pursue our former contractor/thief.
For those of you that hate lawyers… wait till you get charged with a crime you didn’t commit and need a legal defense. This happened to me when I was in college. I was grateful that the lawyer not only got me an acquittal, an order of “factual innocence” was entered. Cops aren’t all saints, some lie (as happened in my case – but they were CAUGHT lying on the stand.) Lawyers can be very useful.
