What about the Caribbean? Has anyone ever lived in a place like Antigua, Aruba, Dominican Republic or even Bahamas?
A lot of folks can’t deal with the poverty in the Domican Republic.
Antigua is an intersting place. Immigrants from the Middle East control many business interests there.
I’ve never been to Aruba or the Bahamas. Aruba is a Dutch colony so that might be an attraction to many. My friends tell me that Aruba is their second favorite place behind Hawaii.
I’ve heard said that the Caribbean in general has too many Blacks, including the US Virgin Islands (which I did visit and which has great poverty for being an American paradise). IMHO, people aren’t racist as much they are afraid of the poverty and the perceived safety risks from the local population. I think the same would apply to South Africa.
