What flu said, I just switched to a mac and they are nicer to use. I still have to do a lot of windows and linux stuff though but vmware fusion works great for that.

For internet and bang for the bucks, I would get a HP G60-230US from Office Depot for $499 after rebates. It also come with HDMI connection for watching movies on a TV. Just need to follow up with OD on when is the next sale.
