Aecetia,
No need to play with words, man. You know when he say “people”, he refer to middle class like you and me, I don’t think you are CEO or above, so that Obama’s tax plan do us good.

June 15, 2008 at 7:47 PM #222854meadandaleParticipantWhy would a fiscal conservative vote for Republicans when they spend more money than Democrats?
Because Democrats would spend even more?
Note that the state of CA is run by Democrats, which largely explains our $19 billion deficit.
In any event, we’ll see. Come November, if Obama wins and there is a D majority in congress with a D president, we’ll see how fiscally conservative you folks are and how little the government grows under your tutelage.
I predict that there will be excuses aplenty in a year or so…

June 15, 2008 at 8:26 PM #222866AnonymousGuestI see we’re back. good.
Hard work should bring great fulfillment, and we should not tax people who have created wealth more than anyone else. Flat tax is the way to go, better yet, a national sales tax would be better, then even the drug dealers would pay when they buy their fancy car or big gold necklace, but I think most americans would balk at an additional 15-20% on top of our 7.75% sales tax.
MANmom
I don’t agree with a flat tax rate. If you earn more, you should pay more taxes. A flat tax rate wouldn’t be good for our society because it would be no break for the poor.
