if by “other bugs” you mean young children and small dogs, then yes – the ones I have seen would trap and eat those.
I’ve got no beef with daddy long legs and other innocuous looking arachnids (unless they’re in my bathtub), but once they look like they could take me out if we met in a dark alley, steps must be taken.
