There’s plenty of legitimate topics to debate about tax rates and government spending and efficiency, but taxes are not the same as “robbing.”
Government takes that money and uses it to provide economic benefits. In many cases, government is the only entity that can feasibly provide certain services: Have you ever driven on a road, been in an airplane, taken medicine, purchased a stock, or called the cops?
If so, you’re not being robbed.
Your arguments sound like a kid saying he’s “working for nothing” when his parents ask him to do his chores.

Do you own a home, contribute to a 401(k)/IRA, and itemize deductions? If so, 12% is about right. My tax rate last year was 10%, and I’m in a similar situation.
4) By the way, income tax is only one of the many taxes we pay. I actually forgot to include in my previous post payroll and medcicare taxes.
That’s the same in other countries. Here’s another graph:

Nobody likes taxes, but equating them to robbery is silly.
Until we can put forth major cuts in money-wasting areas like foreign military bases and the TSA, we have to fund it somehow. Sounds like you should write your congressman and express your dislike for spending on XYZ.

Last I checked I was the one paying for the medicine, airplane tickets, and commisions for the stocks, and not the government.
