You might not even need it for gaming, I’ve played EQII on a low connection and it was just fine. Zoning was sorta slow, but that’s no big deal. I have a pretty beefy machine though, which is a must. Thanks for the info, might do this.

I asked for them to switch me to the lowest cost internet and the sales lady asked me if I was absolutely certain about it, because it would put me at speeds on par with a dialup 56k modem. I said “this package is 768K down, right?” And she said “Let me verify that…. yes it is”. So I said “that sounds about 13x faster than a dialup 56k modem, go ahead and switch me”.
Also, even the lowest package is sufficient for online gaming. Online gaming uses very minimal bandwidth. It is really just a big marketing ploy.
