A wimpy liberal professor bringing a gun is for self-defense.
Tough guys carry knives and guns around for offense.
Obama’s statements are nothing when compared to the raucousness of violence and vitriol emanating daily from right-wing talk radio.

January 12, 2011 at 2:40 PM #652398afx114ParticipantWhat is being lost in this discussion is not who is saying the the violent rhetoric, but who is listening to it.
Polls schmolls, but this CBS poll is interesting:
Do you think it is ever justified for citizens to take violent action against the government, or is it never justified?
Republican 28% yes, 64% no
Democrat 11% yes, 81% no
Indepdent 11% yes, 81% noI know, I know, Dan Rather probably cooked up those numbers. But would anyone really disagree with them? Everyone knows which is the party of the 2nd Amendment and its “remedies.” They’ve been proud of that fact for decades. So much so that they’ve fought common-sense legislation meant to keep mentally unstable Army rejects from getting firearms without a license. This is the false equivalency to which I referred up-thread. Post as many inflammatory quotes from Democrats as you want, it doesn’t change the fact that the right is the side with all the guns.

Examples or shut up. Most of your post are based on pure emotion, which is fitting for your affiliation. Allan mentions it comes from both extremes and you then defend your affiliated extreme. NEVER willing to ever admit fault on your side. When people reference an argument is pointless because it is like talking to a tree, you are the prime example. Why the hell I don’t block your user name is beyond me. I must be a glutton for punishment.
