The culture is braggadocio. They are not negotiators or diplomats. It’s about blowing people’s brains out.
I think that’s a bit simplistic — Navy and Air Force seem to be more about playing with interesting toys for a few years while learning skills that will make them employable in the real world. Killing is done from afar, so maybe it doesn’t seem as much like what it is.
Marine biology is different than navy.

No. Haven’t seen him since 2002. He was very kind to us. He lived down the street and one night the street was blocked off by the cops both ways. Swat team. No one in or out. His adult son had him at gunpo in t in the house.
Turned out ok. We stayed at a hotel. We paid the bill. Remember that night vividly. His kids were dipshits
