Simply.. yes. That is if the GOP gets back to their original roots. If all you have is an evangelical position, that is almost all that you will have left to vote for you. Consider this, what if the GOP drops the fringe to embrace the center? Where are there more voters.. and who would the evangelicals end up voting for?

ParticipantI don’t mind fiscal conservative government. But I’m opposed to war and not fond of the hypocritical nature of religion. Killing people in wars ok. Abortion of a fetus not okay. Stem cell not okay. Divorce ok. Gay marriage, bad.
Maybe if they weren’t so religious, they could get more fiscally conservative voters.
But then we’re back to corporate welfare rather than social welfare, but we’re getting corporate welfare now. So WTH. They’re almost the same. Subtle difference is the religious tendencies and social views that come from those beliefs.
