ParticipantI use schwab, etrade, ameritrade, vanguard, fidelity (because I have to).
For me, I openned ameritrade originally because it was cheap. As it stands right now, Schwab for me is the cheapest because I’m on cheaper commission structure based on my assets and frequency of trading.
Schwab sometimes stinks if the market is going crazy. The websites come to a crawl. But fortunately, their IVR phone works pretty well even in peak demand.

GuestI started with e-trade a few years ago. I recently had a stock of mine undergo a reverse stock split. The company sent prior notification so there were no surprises and the outcome as been good, so far. My question is, the ticker symbol still remains a number. Both the old and new symbol remain inactive. My stock is represented by a set of numbers. Without a symbol I cannot buy or sell. I am in limbo. I am not looking to make any changes just curious.
