That’s $66 million per day in profit. That dwarfs the estimated $16 million per day the spill is costing them. No doubt that number will go up, but will it go up over $66 million per day? I think BP will be alright…

The business units of BP will be transferred to new American management. BP will likely end up a legal bankrupt entity.
Makes perfect sense to me.

What is $4300 x the number of barrels per day spilled. It’s like 50-200 million per day give or take. That is the EPA fine for gross negligence.
