CoronitaParticipantWell, Moen just keeled over… I was going to replace a showerhead thinking Moen is the only showerhead still made in the usa. Nope… They’re made in china now too…
Ok, time to go for the $1 no-name brand special…I can’t fathom spending $50+ on a showerhead to a company that doesn’t even manufacture them here.

Moen and Kohler. Once upon a time, you could purchse these items knowing that they were made in the USA. No more. 🙁
We suck!

ParticipantScaredy
My son turned 13 today. I wanted to get him something that he couldnt plug in so we went shopping for a new bike. Walmart and Target were not on our itinerary. We went to the local non-chain bike shop. I know what I want so I got it for him instead.I got him a Trek which I have pined over for decades. Some of it was made in the USA but we got a Greenfield kickstand just because it was definitely 100% made in a small town out on Long Island. I still ride the Rockhopper I bought for my dad when he retired 20 years ago with a front sprocket I bent at Watchung Reservation two weeks after I gave it to him. Why can I buy him the bike I always wanted while I ride an old bike with holes in my shoes?
He wakes up at 6:30 every morning. My alarm is set for 5:45 and I’m gonna take it out for a spin. Hopefully I wont bend his front sprocket too.

ParticipantWatchung Reservation?! Where in NJ did you live – I grew up in and around there? Sadly, WR now mostly bans mountain biking, though I’m not sure about actually enforcement of the ban 🙁
For once, I agree with one of your posts. Great gift, and great that it’s all mechanical.

ParticipantJust got back from my ride and it survived.
Grew up in South Jersey but undergrad at RU and worked in WTC out of college. Alot of my friends lived/live in South Orange, West Orange, Lvingston, New Prov, Summitt etc. We used to go mountain biking all over the place back in the day (mid/late 80’s).
