Way off topic… Looks like the company I work for is expanding our engineering effort. We are looking for a few electrical engineers in the following fields:
– analog/mixed signal design
– digital design
– systems engineering
Our current focus happens to be in 10G over fiber front end mixed signal products. XAUI/RXAUI and XFI on the system side. We do support 1G operation as well. Moving forward we are working to 40G and 100G products. Also considering 10G over copper as well. We are looking to expand both of our San Diego and Sunnyvale teams. My team works on front end RTL and verification. Our platform is a standard verilog platform (for digital)for design while verification is kind of hodge podge at the moment. The analog guys are using matlab and another tool that doesn’t come to mind at the moment. Sorry I am digital only and we are dime a dozen compared to the analog guys. The content of the design work is pretty decent. We take in 802.3 compliant streams, terminate and retime them and shoot them off. The current design is full duplex.
