Ricechex, I totally agree with you. However, in your example of a 6 and 5 year old, yes, they would be labeled as a sex offender. I remember reading an article about a 11 and 12 year old were both convicted as sex offenders because they have sex with each other and one of the parent call the police. I think it was one of the first case where both are marked as sex offender and victims in the same trial.

Teens are getting slapped as a sex offender for “sexting” pictures through their cell phone.

LinkyThis is the case I’m talking about. I was off by 1 year regarding to the age. The girl was 13 and the boy was 12. They both were marked as sex offender and as victim for the same act. That mark would be with them for all of their lives. Would be hard to get a job if you have that mark under your name.
