8 things you need to know about Obama and Rezkohttp://www.suntimes.com/news/watchdogs/757340,CST-NWS-watchdog24.article%5B/quote%5D
I thought this thread was about Palin? Why pull up an 18 month old article about Obama?Palin has a lot of rhetoric about fiscal conservativism – but as governor she was the queen of pork. Unlike Sanford, who had to be sued to take the stim money, she made a show of not taking it – then flipped and took all but a very small bit. Per capita, Alaska gets more fed $ than any other state. And their budget is not in the red anymore. She put in place high taxes on the oil companies (corporate taxation – not a good conservative principal.) And now that revenue stream has slowed since the price per barrel dropped.
// begin snark
yeah… I’m a social liberal (fiscal conservative) who tends to vote Dem… I’m quaking in fear of Palin. //snark.July 7, 2009 at 3:35 PM #426728UCGalParticipant[quote=Zeitgeist]Hypocrite!

He is a crook in the Chicago mold and he surrounds himself with crooks. There have been plenty of mediocre and craven presidents. He is one of them. A monkey in a silk suit is still a monkey. Now back to bashing Palin. A person so beneath the rest of you, I wonder why you even bother with her. I hope you fiscal conservatives enjoy what is happening to the economy with the bail out begun by Bush and taken to extremes by your president. You hide behind that name fiscal con and social liberal so you can feel good about your inherent lack of a moral center. You are neither. You are a product of over indulgent parents who were emotionally unavailable, leaving you needy for approval. Good luck with that. Ignore Palin, be very afraid of Obama. He is more of a danger to all America holds dear.

I don’t know about others, but I don’t claim to be moral.
I think that human nature is about doing what makes the individual happy (sex, indulgence, alcohol, etc..) That’s why it’s important to have controls and tough-love to keep human behavior in check (in that respect I agree with conservatives).

Because she’s entertaining. She’s an easy target.
How does she represent family values and the moral center you hold so dear?
Please tell us why she is so respectable and someone we should look up to (rather than deride and make fun of).
