Yes sdnativeson,
You actually have a good point here (though you really take yourself far too seriously; don’t worry, we’ll fix that for you).
As someone who grew up in the SF area, I have found the most irksome hypocrisy to be that which is tinged with self-righteousness. Writ large (and yes this is a broad generalization) the feeling among many in the left is that we are enlightened. This is amplified in places (geographic or otherwise) where there are more of us. Unfortunately, that often blinds us to our own stupidity. Ignorance of one’s own faults often opens the door to all manner of dumb extremism (sort of the left version of the stupidity after 9/11) For example, there is nothing funnier than someone who owns a Lexus describing the need to move to a barter economy and complaining how conservative southerners are ignorant. Its like a study in situational irony. This actually is a description of a conversation I had a couple years ago with a relative. Steinbeck could not have written it better.August 29, 2008 at 12:01 PM #263328urbanrealtorParticipantYes sdnativeson,

Sure it’s a shameless ploy by the Republicans to gain Hillary supporters, but welcome to politics.
But again, I like her. She’s so new to politics she’s not corrupted by it. Her parents were teachers, she actually has real values, and she can probably relate better to the average American than 99.9% of any other brainwashed, over-lobbied, disconnected pompous fat-cat politician.
I’d actually rather see her be president than McCain, Obama or Biden.

If that happens, lets hope she is worth her salt.
