    Entirely off topic, but for anyone with an iPhone that doesn’t hang out on any other forums or blogs – whatever you do, don’t try to upgrade to the new 2.0 this morning. I made the mistake, and was rewarded with a sleek brick where my phone used to be. All the apple servers are down, and the upgrade process gets stuck half-way through. You’re left with a useless phone until they fix the problem, which is compounded by the fact that everyone and their mother is trying to hit the same servers right now.

    I’m in IT – I should know better – I’m a greedy, greedy fool.

    *hangs head in shame*

    Sucker…..

    Never buy a v1 product the first day. it’s always going to be an issue and more expensive than if you wait a few weeks.

    Well I shorted AAPL at 178 and now they’re 171 but I’m backing out ‘cuz I see even piggies are running out to buy what I see as overpriced, trendy, dependency-creating products… This being typed on my powermac G5 with cinematic display…

    Bought to cover my shorty UPS shares once I hit 20%.

    Starbucks short position doing well, up 11%.

    I love this market!

    No joke. I feel worse for the schmucks that waited in line at the stores to buy the new one, and are now still waiting because the in store activations aren’t working, either.

    No, my mistake was in plugging my existing 1st gen phone into iTunes this morning. I had a blaring little alarm that went off in the back of my head as I accepted their prompt to update my iTunes software (that I promptly ignored), and I am now paying the price for it.
