Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts as to how Obama is doing? And I’m asking solely out of curiosity (for those here who think I might be trying to start something).

We do face a similar moral conundrum. It’s Mexico. Personally I would call it a ransom. If we cut off all aid to the illegals here they would be left hanging. Many would go back to Mexico and exacerbate the rich v poor situation there. Maybe it would be the tipping point for civil war.
Would Mexico arrive out of the ashes of that war a healthy country that could feed its own? Who knows. But if it did then it would take care of the illegal problem. But no one is going to make a painful decision like that. That is the ransom that the good ole USA has dug itself into.
