How dare they protest against having their seas looted of fish and used as nuclear waste dumps by the Europeans. Don’t they realize they’re Africans? After 500 years, you think they’d know their place by now.

April 14, 2009 at 3:20 PM #380843CoronitaParticipantHoly sh!t. Some of you folks sound like folks that think the people that beat up Reginald Denny should be excused from their actions because those folks were “wronged” by what happened with Rodney King and that LA should have been sued for failing to protect Reginald Denny.
No wonder, so many Americans get away with crime. No accountability, none whatsoever.
That U.S. humanitarian ship hardly had anything to do with the fish looting or nuclear waste dump. But why bother separating two completely different events when it’s convenient to make excuses for otherwise inexcusable actions. And yes, sometimes the way you deal with punks is you hit back twice as hard so they don’t think about hitting you again the next time.

The “civilized” countries like those in the EU frequently break the law first and then complain when everyone else starts doing it too. As for those pirates, yes they are goons but keep in mind that probably very few of them can even read and write much less tell a humanitarian supply ship from a nuclear waste dumping boat. Again, there is no excuse for breaking the law but that applies to “civilized” countries too.
I hate this simplistic Rush Limbaugh thinking that whenever you try to look into the background of any situation you are “excusing” criminal behavior. No I’m not, I’m just trying to figure out why pirates have appeared there all of a sudden. Now we know, it turns out they’re not the first to start breaking laws and killing people. Big surprise…
