Flu,
You sort of got a little bit of what you deserved. Like the people who show up at time shares and think they are getting something for nothing. It never is as easy as you think
Heh heh. I always get the freebie at the timeshares. Those where much easier to deal with…

September 19, 2010 at 7:01 AM #606446EconProfParticipantI hate Chase, for a long list of reasons. They took over WaMu and although their tellers and managers are all trained to smile, be friendly, ask how your day is going, etc., behind the scenes they are contriving more ways to screw you with fees, holds on deposits, and recently, shut down on-line access for 4 straight days, blaming outside vendors for infecting their sign-on process (where’s the back-up system guys?).
In my experience, the smaller the bank, the better the service and the smaller and less frequent the fees. They have not yet learned all the insidious ways to screw the customer. Plus, they did not take our bailout money. Also, credit unions in general are invariably better than the big banks. I use Mission Federal Credit Union–far superior to Chase. I have many autopays with my Chase checking and am too lazy to switch….but some day they will push me over the edge & Il’ll drop them.September 19, 2010 at 7:01 AM #606533EconProfParticipantI hate Chase, for a long list of reasons. Back then you had to work for the city/county or be related to someone who did to be a member. Now it’s open to everybody.
I just laugh when I hear all these stories about the banks nickel and diming people with service fees. Everyone complains but they still all have millions of customers?
It’s going to get worse now with the new ‘financial regulations’. They counted on many of these fees and interest paid by financially illiterate or irresponsible people to cover the cost of free checking accounts and free credit cards. I think you’ll be seeing annual fees coming back for credit cards and monthly fees returning for many checking/savings accounts as well–for everyone.
