I have at least two hundred books spanning the range of New Age spirituality.

Yet, when I did the prayer work to understand just a few paragraphs of “The Course” I found it changed my life completely. It is an extremely profound book.

You ask “What does The Course teach you?” I offer you one (of countless) examples. A co-worker walks into your cube. That co-worker is in a bad mood due to some unknown personal event. I completely believe someone like you, in your line of work, would have found themselves attracted to spirituality and new age topics. I have run across people in all walks of life in my work. Nothing flaky about new age to me or the people who pursue the information. And new age is a bit of a misnomer since we are talking about Universal principals that have been in the existence since the beginning (at least the beginning of this Universe). I am learning that there are other Universes that are founded on completely different principals.

What a thoughtful response, your second one that is. Okay, well your first response did have some thoughts related to it, but not quite on topic in this off topic post.

I completely believe someone like you, in your line of work, would have found themselves attracted to spirituality and new age topics. I have run across people in all walks of life in my work. Nothing flaky about new age to me or the people who pursue the information. And new age is a bit of a misnomer since we are talking about Universal principals that have been in the existence since the beginning (at least the beginning of this Universe). I am learning that there are other Universes that are founded on completely different principals.

Enorah (and others), I am a hard-boiled atheist and cynic, but for some reason I am very contented by the notion that you find the Pigg community warm and welcoming enough that you can share this with us.

I recall hearing that someone discovered that one particular area of the brain is more active for people who are very spiritual. I am pretty sure no one will be able to locate that part of my brain, but you may have more of it than the average bear. Does this theory sound familiar to you?
