Speaking of Jewish….You see Borat?
If so, how is that not racist against Jews? Why was that tolerated and the movie a prize winner? It might have something to do with the fact that Sasha Baron Cohen is Jewish. Somehow I don’t think that Chris Rock could have gotten away with those jokes… But in any case the jokes in Borat are mostly about racism and xenophobia, they are not actually racist or xenophobic.

FLU, I think the word you’re looking for here is “chintzy” which is actually has Hindi/Urdu roots and means “gaudily or cheaply decorated”. I am a bit of a racial/ethnic slur aficionado and I have never heard anyone say “chinky”.
[/quote]Consider it heard. chintzy was “modified” by some of us youngest generations..

Not exactly. I think the parody of the rodeo was as you suggested jokes about racism and xenopobia.
The jewish references was just kinda of out there, and I thought was derrogatory, even if it came from Cohen. The fact that this movie won some awards from the american public is disturbing.
