I got a Inspiron B130 few years ago, heavy at 6.7lb, very sturdy frame with XP, Pentium, 1GB Ram and no problems. Cant do video editing, etc, but hey it was $500 (special discount). Comparable MAC at least a 1000. If its only PC then you need more, but if its 2nd computer, then something like this will work.

December 9, 2008 at 1:14 PM #313414PCinSDGuestI’m switching to Mac. My options are:
Macbook Pro, 15″, 2.4Ghz, 200G HD: $1299, or
Macbook 13″, 2.4Ghz, 160G HD: $899I do a lot of typing so the size and comfort of the keyboard is a factor. Any thoughts from mac users?

December 9, 2008 at 2:51 PM #313464HereWeGoParticipantThe MacBooks are nice, no doubt about it. They seem to have dropped a bit in price as well. I’d probably go with HP if you prefer a Windows box.
