Reverend Wright is a BIGOT.For you to intimate that I am a bigot is pure ignorance on your part. Nothing could be further from the truth. Back in the mid 60’s I was the only white guy in a 12 piece rhythm & blues/soul music band that played for 3 months during the summer for two years in a row at Myrtle Beach. When I got out of the Navy, I was the pianist for two years with a trio where I was the only white guy. If I was a bigot, I think that at least one of the countless number of black performers and friends that I have known over the years would have figured it out by now. Your accusation is all wet, just like your refusal to see the truth about Reverend Wright.
The youtube clip says it all about Reverend Wright because it’s a fact that it’s Wright speaking in the clip and this is a pattern for this guy. What he says isn’t going to go well for Obama.
Are you saying that because he is black, he get’s a free pass? I don’t think so. And neither do millions of other people.
To blame the media for this fiasco is patently ridiculous. That’s like blaming the media for causing a fire or a car wreck that they simply reported to the public. Reverend Wright is his own worst enemy.
Are you a flaming liberal that refuses to see the truth about Obama because you’re blinded by devotion to your chosen candidate? Man, wake up and smell the coffee. Obama will most likely win the Dem nomination but McCain & the Republicans are going to have a field day with Obama and his relationship with Rev Wright. Watch and see what happens in November. (And NO, for the third time in this thread, I’m not voting for John McCain but I can clearly see the handwriting on the wall), Respond as you please, I’ve had enough of this subject so the floor is yours to accuse me of something else that I’m NOT.

May 4, 2008 at 8:14 AM #198813NotCrankyParticipantIn the clip wright says Jesus was a black man. I think that kind of thing will hurt Obama much worse than the fact that the pastor is saying that Hilary is not black and can’t understand blacks. Anyway any focus on Obamas blackness can hurt him so this is exactly what he doesn’t need.
Every time I see this stuff come up I just wonder to myself” why couldn’t Bush have been fried for his connection to religious charlatans ?” Instead, his appeal to evangelicals probably got him elected. Why are Americans less threatened by that movement and politicians that affiliate with it. Is it because the Evangelicals Jesus is white? I don’t think this Wright guy, who I really dislike, should reflect any worse on Obama than the Christian right should reflect on any candidate that cozies up too them.
Obama wuld be in big trouble int he general elections without this mess.He criticizes American agressiveness towards and explotation of other countries. He is against the war in Iraq and he criticizes American foreign policy in the Middle East as did Ron Paul. That alone will keep him out of the white house. Look where it got Paul who apparently doesn’t have any really goofy church affiliations.

May 4, 2008 at 9:08 AM #198843AnonymousGuestEx-SD, I watched the video, and what Rev. Wright said on that video doesn’t make him a bigot.
