ParticipantI would guess that some of the buyers do not have a house payment. If you have to make one of those mega payments, I agree with you that the house owns you. The tax write off is nice, but who knows if that loop hole will exist for the next 30 years. I do not even like having a car payment. The decline in over priced houses will be a good thing in the long run for San Diego.
