Noticed more speed traps lately?

I spend most of my travel time on the freeways and yes, there is increased police activity along the I-5. In the 10 years I have been driving between San Diego and Los Angeles I have never noticed this much ticketing going on.

It did pick up after the special election. While I realize correlation doesn’t necessarily mean causation it is strange.

It seems to be part of the plan to “punish” us ignorant taxpayers who are tired of funding the unrealistic plans of our broken legislature and failed governor.

Six years USN. How much foreign travel do you think I’ve had? Except for Mexico where I will never go again and ten rounds of 7.62X39 through the back window of a bus I was on in Peru, no foreign LE trouble. In fact that guy was Army and the bus did blow his checkpoint.

I stick by my original position. We have far more street cops than we need for daily use. Now, as in the case of the Rodney King riots, we do need a reserve force that we can mobilize. I think they call that the National Guard.

Sometimes I think the full stop tickets are stupid, but when I lived in PB I used to get pretty pissed off on how much people would just blow through stop signs by tapping their brakes.. [/quote]
