had the same experience………90 days escrow on a short sale w/ the rate locked…..and we were redoning the same paperwork “n” diffrent ways. In fact, we passed the extension days & had to extend the lock (fun).
Both our credits were above 800 + I’ve held the same job for close to 10 yrs.
After about 2 months into the process, the mortgage doc specialist calls me to explain in writing my recent”CREDIT INQUIRES” to our accounts. I had to go back to ask who made these inquires since I don’t know what you’re seeing (I then found out it was the bank itself that made the inquiries to give me the loan……LOL)…..I had to explain that in a letter……

March 3, 2011 at 9:00 PM #673007paramountParticipantI recently got an approval and went through a similar process. My hitch was that I had to show enough income to pay for my current house and the new house. I could not count any rental income, which to me seems a bit ridiculous in some ways.
Back in late 2002 I went through a similar rigorous process to get my mortgage through Wells Fargo on my current house; which is why I had no idea that at the same time basically anyone could get a mortgage. Yes, I got burned.
