South Park/Golden Hill is in the flight path too but nobody complains about the noise. You can’t hear anything, the engines are idling as they come into land. PL is incredibly loud with jet noise because they’re taking off. Naturally this reverses if they change takeoff direction.
Today I noticed the pilots were having to veer sharply north because of the wind direction, so PB/MB/OB would be getting a lot of jet noise.
Anyway, if you live around here you know where the jet noise is bad and you know where it’s not.

In South Park and Golden Hill, the jets are higher. They’ve not yet gotten quite low enough to land. In Banker’s Hill, watch out!! It’s as if they are right above you, skimming the top of your condo/apt bldg and covering your sky.
That last quick pass over Harbor Dr is when they are ready to touch down … right over the vehicles stopped on the south side of the Laurel St light, lol!

Before shows there I like to spend a few minutes on Kalmia St between Ketner and India listening to the wind whip through the short & narrow street a few minutes after plane has landed. Sometimes the delay is enough that it’s not clear what is causing the eerie wind. I like to take out-of-towers there and tell them the street is haunted.
Anyone been to the top of the parking structure on the opposite corner of The Casbah? Seems like you might get some skid marks on your face from the wheels of the planes if you do your planespotting up there.
