cawireman, Poway is awfully hot! Our A/C ran throughout the night. My house that I sold was on a crappy, narrow, steep, part-dirt road. Let’s call a spade, a spade. We moved to Poway only for the schools. Now what I like is the absence of builder tract subdivisions, and the large area of open space and trails. The zoning in Poway is awesome, but it does get real hot.

Somehow, Poway has managed to keep a good reputation, even though it is east of I-5. Why? The schools, the City in the Country feel that it maintains?

Thanks for this. I live in El Segundo which borders Manhattan Beach to the north (just next to LAX). Even if it’s a sales gimmick, it’s still a nice sign of the times for me…

Sorry folks about the LA-specific discussion, thought I could squeeze it under the topic of Manhattan Beach. I still own a prop in SD, visit SD every other month, root for the Padres, hate the Dodgers … but currently live in LA. Love SD. Plan to move back when I semi-retire … in 20+ years.

I follow SD real estate like a hawk. I’m probably the only person in LA who knows where Bay Park is located.
